Public Comment Opportunity: Draft Fiscal Year 2026 Moving to Work Plan

Writer's picture: FCRHAFCRHA

The Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA) is one of the original 39 housing authorities in the country designated as a “Moving to Work” agency by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. This distinction provides the FCRHA with flexibility and local choice to create housing programs that work best for their residents. Each year, the FCRHA is required to submit a Moving to Work Plan, which includes community input and outlines the activities to be undertaken in the given year.

The Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority is seeking community feedback on the draft Moving to Work Plan for FY 2026.

The draft Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Moving to Work Plan is available for public review with comments being accepted through March 5, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.  In addition, the Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority will conduct a public hearing on the draft FY 2026 Moving to Work Plan on February 20, 2025, in person at 4530 University Drive, Fairfax VA 22030 at 7 p.m.  Interested residents are invited to share their views on the draft plan at the public hearing.
