In accordance with the Public-Private Education Facilities and Infrastructure Act of 2002 (PPEA), the Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA) and Fairfax County Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) are seeking qualified developers to plan, design, construct, and operate multi-family residential communities, as described below.
East County Property Redevelopment
The Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA) and the Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) advertised a Request For Proposals (RFP) for the East County Property Redevelopment and are seeking a qualified developer to plan, design, construct, own, and operate an affordable multi-family housing community on a 2.93-acre County-owned property located at 5827 Columbia Pike, Falls Church, near the intersection of Columbia Pike and Leesburg Pike. The development is expected to provide approximately 160 rental units for low- to moderate-income households, in support of the County’s goal to increase its supply of affordable housing. An optional pre-proposal conference will be held on January 30, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. via Microsoft Teams web conferencing. Dulles Greene Property Redevelopment
The Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA) and the Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) advertised a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Dulles Greene Property Redevelopment and are seeking a qualified developer to plan, design, construct, own, and operate an affordable multi-family housing community on a 9.6-acre County-owned property located at 13500 Dulles Greene Drive, Herndon, near Innovation Avenue. The project is expected to deliver a minimum of 250 rental units for low- to moderate-income households, subject to plan amendments, rezoning, and coordination with the FCRHA.
