FCRHA Seeks Qualified Housing Providers to Partner on Preservation Projects

Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the 2024 Preservation Partner Pool

Interested partners invited to attend pre-submission meeting on January 30, 2024

The preservation of affordable housing is critical to ensuring that Fairfax County is a place where everyone can live. The overall County goal is to see no loss in the existing stock of affordable rental housing. To meet this goal, strong partnerships with affordable housing providers and developers are necessary to act quickly on preservation opportunities.

The Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (FCRHA) and Fairfax County Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) are seeking qualified housing providers to partner on preservation projects. Selected housing providers will receive direct notifications of high priority preservation opportunities and will be pre-qualified to partner with the County  to preserve affordable properties through this Request For Qualifications. Reviewing qualifications and capacity early will help keep HCD competitive in the strong local housing market. Submissions are due by 3:30 p.m. EST on February 23, 2024.

Please join us for a pre-submission meeting event on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from 2 – 3 p.m. at the Fairfax County Redevelopment and Housing Authority (3700 Pender Drive, Fairfax, VA 22030, Room 102). Participants may attend virtually via Microsoft Teams.
