Fairfax County is conducting the Community Assessment Survey for Older Adults (CASOA) in order to help SHAPE the Future of Aging within our community. During the next several weeks, randomly selected adults over the age of 50 will be mailed a copy of the survey and be asked to share their experiences on a variety of topics. The survey will ask for information about housing, retirement, socialization, opportunities to work, community services, transportation, and other topics that relate to aging in our community.
The information collected through this effort is essential in helping to develop the SHAPE the Future of Aging Plan – a strategic planning initiative to better align resources and services to meet the needs of older adults across the county. The county currently anticipates sharing the survey results and related analysis to the Board of Supervisors Older Adult Committee in the Fall 2022.
