In the Community

In order to create housing opportunities that promote inclusive and thriving communities, we need to be in the community. During fiscal year 2024, FCRHA fueled many community initiatives.

Affordable housing residents earn FCRHA scholarships.

The FCRHA awarded ten $5,000 scholarships for postsecondary education to local affordable housing residents. Learn more.

Fairfax County Housing Symposium.

The 2024 Fairfax County Housing Symposium was hosted by the FCRHA and the George Mason University Costello College of Business, with financial support from Virginia Housing and the Northern Virginia Association of Realtors (NVAR). Get the event recap.

50 years of CDBG.

Fairfax County receives Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) affordable housing funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Funds are applied directly to the community, and every $1.00 of CDBG funding leverages more than $5.00 in other funding, creating additional, vital, local resources. Learn more.
